On spoilers and watching (or not watching) television: ( slight spoilers (heh) for NBC's Timeless and the Veronica Mars TV reboot )

I made the mistake of going straight into season three after I finished season two of The Expanse--not an error because of the show going down in quality, but rather because I can't recall exactly which plots were doing which things in season two without mixing in season three storylines.

Season 3 episode 4 of Stranger Things - Nancy and Jonathan have a disagreement about a choice Nancy made that had repercussions for both of them. Seanan McGuire has finally started a book series that doesn't work for me. I've read either two or three novels in her Wayward Children series. In theory, I like the premise: a school for teens who are stuck back in our world, after having strayed into other worlds. Most hope to return to those other worlds, but that outcome is in doubt. I've made it through two seasons of The Magicians. ( Somewhere in season two things went from grim and dark to grim and dark and funny. )

One thing I should have mentioned about The Umbrella Academy in my previous post: it is jarringly violent at times. IMDB says it's 'TV-14', for whatever that's worth.

First, Finn as a cult survivor. I've seen this complaint too: the idea that the Star Wars movies don't show Finn in recovery from his time as a child soldier. This post points out that there IS material there.
